Reparing dents on the Tom Prosser jackup drilling rig.
Due to the harsh and dynamic nature of the offshore environment, MODU and permanent production facility owners are required to undertake inspections on an on-going basis to ensure class requirements are maintained.
Repair and refurbishment work in between major shipyard service periods is required on a regular basis.
ICON has been involved in a number of offshore inspections and follow-on refurbishment projects on production rig and MODUs including decking, craneage assets, access platforms & gangways, chain locker corrosion repair, hull impact damage repair, fairlead replacements, chain gypsy, heli-deck and main deck replacement works to name a few.
These scopes may include design work, coordination with class societies such as DNV/ABS, fabrication and offshore installation. By taking complete ownership of these works, ICON can take your class approval headaches away by liaising directly with the necessary verification bodies.
