ICON Minimal Offshore Facilities, Conductor Supported Monopods and Platforms, Self-Installing Wellhead Platforms, Normally Unmanned Installations (NUI), Unmanned Wellhead Platforms (UWHP)

Each offshore platform is different and each jack up drilling rig is different. The end result is that each platform and installation method should be optimised to best suit the clients’ particular development plan.

The equipment and procedures for the variety of installation methods form a large database of know-how within ICON which can be tapped into by our clients to ensure the optimal platform design.

We specialise in the design, project management and delivery of innovative offshore facilities, which can be installed by jack-up or floating drilling rigs, and can provide solutions that cover self-installing platforms, “Annex” or braced-platform extensions, rig-assembled conductor supported platforms and even slot additions to improve the life of existing assets.

We have developed various installation methods that make use of drilling rigs and floatover systems. When completing an installation via a drilling rig, weights of topsides are limited by the rig draw works capacity, but a floatover system can enable installation of topsides decks up to 1200 tonnes.

This method provides an alternative to using crane barges, and when used in conjunction with a rig-installed substructure, it eliminates the dependency on a crane barge.
