Gravel Pack Support
ICON understands our client’s key drivers when positioning and installing Gravel Pack systems on both rigs and vessels.
Different situations call for different solutions, be they for short-term, removable, long-term installation of equipment for rig or vessel deployment.
-
Deck configuration for vessel-based gravel pack support.
-
Seafastening of Gravel Pack equipment and design and installation of access platform.
-

-
Deck layout to support Gravel pack operations.
-

-
Running gravel pack support operations from a Platform Support Vessel in the case that there was not enough space on the deck of the rig.
-
Installing Gravel pack equipment on a drilling rig for Woodside's Enfield project.
-
Support vessel deck configuration for gravel pack support operations where hoses would be used to pump the mix to the rig before it is sent downhole.

We are committed to safety as we load large third-party equipment modules onto often crowded rig floors, no matter the situation.
Where sufficient deck space is not available on the rig floor, ICON has successfully set up the gravel pack equipment on rig anchor handlers/ PSVs with hoses being used to pump the mix to the rig before it is sent downhole.
Our design efforts will often be directed toward ensuring equipment can be installed with minimal welding. We often employ 3D modelling and 3D laser scan information to perform clash detection onshore, in advance of grillage being fabricated and mobilising offshore.
ICON designed solutions:
• Provide the ability to stack equipment for additional deck space;
• Secure the equipment on the deck for sea fastening;
• Distribute loading to increase a rig deck’s capacity;
• Provide guidance for stacking workshops and equipment;
• Provide custom anti-vibration stacking clamps;
• Allow safe and assessed personnel access to all equipment; and
• Are safe, efficient to install and remove offshore.
