Scott Warren, project manager at ICON Engineering, was recently awarded a safety award by INPEX for his work onboard the ENSCO 5006 drilling rig during the well completions stage on the Ichthys LNG project.
Ichthys operator INPEX said he received the award for good planning and preparations prior to picking up ICON's ARTP (Advanced Riser Tension Protector). INPEX said Scott also led a great Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with the men and asked lots of open questions to encourage input and participation in hazard identification.
ICON managing director David Field said he was very glad to see the ICON safety culture being recognised. "Congratulations to Scott for keeping the issue of safety at the forefront of workers' minds in this operation, which involved the crew having to operate a completely new piece of equipment," he said.
