Beached as bro, in Brazil

Being transferred from the beaches of Perth to the beaches of Brazil is a tough ask, but someone has to do it. One of our most senior field development engineers was seconded to assist in trouble shooting a Campos Basin field design the operator feared may be sub-optimal given the technical risk and market conditions.
He started with initial feasibility and concept select studies, shoulder to shoulder with the Operator's subsurface, wells, operations and regulatory teams.
From there, he was able to pull in our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Europe, Asia and the US to revise the existing FPSO-led field development concept in favour of a Normally-Manned Installation-to-FSO design.
Then came pre-FEED, from which the Operator picked a defined concept: a fixed platform with dry trees, tied-back to a turret-moored FPSO.
Long story short, the new design significantly boosted the project’s numbers and improved the technical risk profile over the field’s life.
