ICON Engineering carried out the installation of the WP-IA Jacket and the floatover installation of the WP-IA topsides.

Arc Energy NL. Hovea Production Facility, Dongara WA.

ICON Engineering carried out multi discipline engineering design for an onshore oil production and 3 phase separation plant. The role expanded to include project management, procurement and commissioning.

Apache Energy Limited. Victoria Field Development.

ICON Engineering carried out the installation of the Victoria platform jacket and topsides.

Apache Energy Limited. Double Island Field Development.

ICON Engineering was responsible for the design, fabrication and installation of the Double Island minimal platform.

BHP Billiton Petroleum (Americas). Angostura Feed Project, Trinidad.

ICON Engineering performed a multidiscipline Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Project for three unmanned offshore wellhead platform topsides and detailed auditable cost estimates.

Chevron Texaco Ltd.

PICTON (A 50/50 joint venture between ICON Engineering and Process Control Technology) has a multi-disciplined engineering services contract for the Barrow Island and Thevenard Island Assets. Barrow has over 800 onshore wells and Thevenard is a processing and export hub for 9 offshore platforms.

Diamond Offshore. Ocean Bounty Semisubmersible Drilling Rig Upgrade.

ICON Engineering undertook a turnkey contract to lower the cellar deck, install a new pedestal crane, relocate an existing pedestal crane and provide a subsea tree skidding system. The work was undertaken offshore and while on tow between drilling locations rather than in a shipyard.

Lundin Malaysia Ltd. Bunga Kekwa Annex Platform Installation.

ICON Engineering carried out the installation of the Bunga Kekwa-A Annex platform.

Nexen Petroleum.

PICTON (A 50/50 joint venture between ICON Engineering and Process Control Technology) has a multi-disciplined engineering services contract for support of the Buffalo field in the Timor Sea. The Buffalo field has an FPSO and unmanned wellhead platform.

Apache Energy. Design & Build Conductor Tensioning System.

ICON Engineering designed and built a hydraulic conductor tensioning system for use on jackup drilling rigs while drilling exploration wells with slender surface casing.

Chevron Australia - Addition of Cowle 5 well slot to monopod.

ICON Engineering designed, fabricated and installed a new well slot on the Cowle monopod.

Chevron Australia Ltd. Roller 6 Coiled Tubing Workover Barge.

ICON Engineering carried out preparations and mobilisation of a small jackup barge to support a Coiled Tubing Workover operation on Roller 6 well offshore Western Australia.

	Design of Active Heave Compensator - Safe Link. ICON Engineering has designed an in-line hydraulically controlled 'safe-link' to prevent overtensioning of the marine riser in case of lock up of active heave compensation systems on semisubmersible drilling rigs. This follows several incidents caused by failure of active compensation systems.

Drilling and Grouting Services. Reverse Circulation Drilling Hydraulic Slips Table.

Slips table designed for mounting in Dive Support Vessel Moonpool for drilling FPSO piles. Table handles 80 tonne drill string with diameters to 2m.

Shell UK Limited - Skiff Platform Installation.

ICON Engineering provided client representation for Shell during the installation of the Skiff Platform in the Southern North sea. The platform was completely installed by a jackup rig - a first for Shell.

Apache Energy Limited. Client Representation for Wonnich Platform Installation.

ICON Engineering was engaged to review the installation procedures and supervise the offshore installation of the Wonnich platform. This platform was installed in 30m water depth with the jackup rig Ensco 56.

BHP Petroleum Ltd. Installation of Buffalo platform

ICON Engineering was responsible for the installation engineering and the offshore installation of the Buffalo Wellhead Platform installed in the Timor Sea.

Esso Australian Limited. Installation of subsea flowline jumpers for the Blackback field.

ICON Engineering was responsible for the installation of the flowline jumpers linking the wells and the export pipeline. The water depth was 400m. The work was carried out from the Sedco 702 MODU.

Schlumberger Oilfield Australia. Sedco 703 MODU Vessel impact repair.

ICON Engineering was commissioned to project manage and execute repair of vessel impact damage to a stability column on Sedco 703 rig

Statoil Norway. Conceptual design of In Line Heave Compensator.

Following a serious incident in late 1998, Statoil are considering the use of a backup in line heave compensator to prevent overtensioning of the marine riser in case of lock up of the primary compensator.

West Australian Petroleum Pty. Limited. Design and Installation of an additional conductor slot on Saladin A Platform.

ICON Engineering reanalysed the existing platform, confirmed that it could support an additional conductor, then designed fabricated and installed the additional bracing, guides and hatches.

West Australian Petroleum Pty. Limited. Evaluation of likely development costs for exploration prospects in the Barrow Island and Thevenard Island area.

Schlumberger Oilfield Australia. Sedco 703 MODU christmas tree skid beams.

ICON Engineering was commissioned to design, fabricate and install the tree skidding system on the semi-submersible drilling rig Sedco 703. System allows assembly and skidding of 60 tonne trees into the moonpool area for installation.

Schlumberger Oilfield Australia. Sedco 702 lifeboat platform repair.

ICON Engineering designed and installed a replacement lifeboat platform for the Sedco 702 MODU. All work was carried out whilst the rig was under tow to New Zealand.

Schlumberger Oilfield Australia. Sedco 702 ROV deck for the Blackback project.

ICON Engineering designed and installed a large cantilevered deck to allow a work class ROV to be deployed outside the rigs pontoons. This ROV was used for tie in of the Blackback flow lines.

	West Australian Petroleum Pty. Limited. Study of costs to process third party production on Barrow Island and Thevenard Island.

Woodside Offshore Petroleum. Laminaria Project, Sedco 703 Heave Compensator.

ICON Engineering was commissioned by Woodside to design, manufacture and install a 250 tonne pneumatic heave compensation system for use on the semi-submersible drilling rig Sedco 703 during the Laminaria completions program. Design and manufacture of system achieved in 5 weeks.

BHP Petroleum Ltd. Preparation of contract documentation and assistance with project management for the Buffalo project.

ICON Engineering has been involved in the drafting of the contract for the installation of the FPSO, pipeline and wellhead platform. Personnel have been located in BHPP’s Melbourne office and in ICON's Perth office for this work.

	IGL / BHP Petroleum. Study of option to install a process module on the Challis riser for BHP Petroleum. This work would allow the Challis field to produce to the Jabiru Venture without the need for an FPSO at Challis. This work was carried out in conjunction with IGL Engineering who carried out the process design.

IGL / Cultus Petroleum. Feasibility study for the Tenacious field.

This work involves tie in of a remote subsea development to the Jabiru Venture FPSO. It also includes work on the Jabiru Venture itself. The work was carried out in conjunction with IGL Engineering and Subsea Services.

IPC Malaysia Ltd. Installation of Bunga Kekwa topsides.

This work involved provision of complete installation services including personnel to seafasten, transport and install the BKA topsides. Installation was carried out with the Sedco "Trident 17" jackup drilling rig.

	SOCDET Management Ltd. Study of development options and report on existing facilities in the Philippines NW Palawan Basin. ICON Engineering generated capex and opex costs for a large number of development scenarios including subsea, stand alone platforms and FPSO facilities. ICON Engineering worked in conjunction with SOCDET’s drilling group and its exploration consultants. The evaluation of the existing facilities required a site visit to assess the existing facilities and to review records in the Philippines offices.

	West Australian Petroleum Pty. Limited. Study of development options for the Swell and Euryale deep water prospects for WAPET. This work included an evaluation of the development options and costs as well as a survey and assessment of the lease FPSO market in the year 2002.

	West Australian Petroleum Pty. Limited. Study of the pipeline route and installation options for the Pasco field. The development of Pasco requires a pipeline in very shallow rocky terrain with high currents and waves. The economics are marginal and demand a low cost solution.

Woodside Petroleum / BRK. North West Shelf Development 2nd Trunkline Project, conceptual trenching machine.

This project is being carried out in conjunction with Kirk Engineering Consultants and includes the study of rock cutting and ploughing machines. A testing programme is currently being developed for prototype machines developed in the first phase of the work.
